Hi, mommas! Well, how did we do over the Fourth of July weekend? Our family had a nice time just making hamburgers and ice cream at home. Were you able to have fun and make great memories with your children. I bet you were, because you’re creative, loving and amazing! Your children are so very blessed to have you.
You deserve a break, and below I have rounded up some fun links to yummy recipes, things that will make you laugh, warm your heart and feed your soul. I hope you are able to curl up with a cozy blanket, a nice cup of coffee, maybe a little soothing music in the background and take a break. Have a wonderful day!
Something pretty– This super cute, gingham travel pouch from Draper James looks like mask holder to me!
Something to make your ears smile– This is my theme song this summer. It’s an instant pick-me-up!
Something to make life easier– If you have a hard time telling people “no” like I do, you’ll appreciate this great advice on “How to Graciously Say No to Social Interaction” from blogger Lee Cordon of Do Say Give.
Something to make you laugh– I just realized that this is the first time I’ve actually included 10 links — and not seven — in “Mom Break Monday: 10 Links To Make You Feel Human Again.” Whoops! I am a right-brained, wordsmith. Math is hard.
Something yummy to eat– If you haven’t already started following Tabitha Brown, now’s the time. Listening to her talk just makes me feel happy and loved. I will be making this delicious-looking flatbread for myself very soon!
Also, this video of Jennifer Garner following Tabitha’s peach shortcake recipe is just too much. My mom nailed it; Jennifer Garner is the BEST because she has the personality of a child and a little, old lady all rolled into one.
Something yummy to drink– I’m one of “those Disney World people.” I’ve been no less than 10 times, and one of my favorite parts is enjoying a refreshing, pineapple Dole Whip in Adventureland. Delish just took that to a whole, new level with their Dole Whip Margaritas. Yes, please!
A little something extra:
1. I absolutely adore everything Ben and Erin Napier are about, and I CAN’T WAIT for their new show.
2. If you’re in Dallas and your children love The Hammering Man sculpture at NorthPark Center as much as mine do, here’s how they can make their own.
3. This precious, magnolia baby blanket almost makes me want another baby … almost.
