Pretty Things: Dogwood Designs

Lindsey Halford, a Dallas mom of three and owner of Dogwood Designs, has become a go-to person for gifts in just a matter of months. Since she began taking embroidery and screen printing orders in March of this year, Halford’s business has taken off with the support of her Lake Highlands community and legions of Dallas moms in search of unique, personalized gifts.

Inspired by her grandmother’s legacy as an exceptional seamstress, Halford named Dogwood Designs after the blooming dogwood plants she remembers from visiting her grandmother in east Texas. “She always inspired my creative side, so I wanted to incorporate her in the name,” says Halford.

Dogwood Designs offers monogrammed home items, from cocktail napkins to hand towels and more. The custom wine tumblers have been especially popular, as have etched glasses and fun, confetti wine glasses. Pair a bottle of bubbly with some personalized glasses and embroidered cocktail napkins, and you have a darling gift.

During graduation season, Halford was busy monogramming Texas flags for out-of-state students. How cute is that? I can’t think of a more special gift for a Texan’s dorm room.
