Mom Break Monday: 10 Links To Make You Feel Human Again

Hi, mommas! How was your weekend?

We tried to take the boys to church for the first time in months, and we would have spread less germs if we would have taken the “Outbreak” monkey instead. Oh, well. We did have fun at the pool on Friday! It has become the perfect place to social distance, and really what more do you need in the summertime than a pool and some ice cream?

Enjoy these last days of summer! Here’s something to recharge you for the week ahead.

Something you need– Have you seen these adorable Tile Mats from Letterfolk? They had me at “Just Peachy.”

Something to make your ears smile– I’m hooked on a documentary. “Echo In The Canyon” — streaming on Netflix — tells the story of Hollywood’s Laurel Canyon in the mid-1960s, when legendary musicians like The Beach Boys, The Mamas and the Papas, Crosby, Stills & Nash and more were just getting started.

Something to move that beautiful body– I love everything about the uplifting, dancing duo Allison Holker Boss and Stephen “tWitch” Boss. Get up and dance! They also have fun, family workouts on their YouTube channel.

Something pretty– Look at this gorgeous, 8-minute makeup routine courtesy Cristin Cooper. She gives THE BEST makeup advice.

Something to make with your hands– Have you ever wanted to try out watercolor? Let’s Make Art’s “Beginner Watercolor Series” on YouTube is a wonderful resource for getting those creative juices flowing. I love, love, LOVE their watercolor kits!

Something to make you laughI could not quit laughing at this. I need these people in my life. LOL.

Something yummy– Thanks a lot, Elisabeth & Butter … now I can’t quit dreaming about Strawberry Shortcakes with Buttermilk Biscuits.

A little something extra:

1. Need a road trip? Pick up the “Small Town Texas Forever” issue of Texas Highways magazine.

2. Thank you, momma! Planner queen Emily Ley recently shared “Simplified Sample Schedules” on her blog. Whether you’re homeschooling, working from home or a new mom, there’s something helpful for you.

3. Have you taken the “Favorite Summer Flower Personality Test” on A Cup of Jo. I like all of them … what does that mean? This is one of my favorite blogs, and there is always something interesting or fun to read.
